Today we are heading out on a Motorcycle trip around the state of Kentucky. I just got my bike back from the shop yesterday to fix a nagging oil leak I’ve had since last fall. Hopefully this time it’s fixed for good.
This morning the roads were wet before we began, but the temp was already 71. Could be a hot muggy day. This time the biker wives have decided to join us on trip. No Nikki does not consider herself a biker wife, and someone has to stay with Jonny. So this trip include Mike and Deb on one bike, Kevin and Nancy on another bike and I will be solo on my bike.
We took our time and heading down towards Cincinnati. We took 23 to 50 and then 41. It was a nice winding road as we passed through Amish country and passed many buggies. We didn’t get real wet, but we ran into some short bursts of rain along the way.
We crossed into Kentucky at Marysville, KY and rode along Rt. 8 following the Ohio river all the way to Florence, KY.
We stayed at a LaQuinta Inn and Suites, so we checked in, got cleaned up and then headed north to Cincinnati to eat.
Deb recommended a place called Rock Bottom Brewery and Restaurant which is located at fountain plaza.
Dinner was very good and then the girls wanted to go to the Horseshoe Casino. Nancy was the winner for the evening, but us guys didn’t gamble and Deb came out even. It was just before 11:00 pm by the time we made it back to the hotel and I was very tired and had no problems going to sleep for the night.
