Today was not only my surgery, but Day 2 of the Wayne Invitational. Needless to say, we were unable to attend. Jonny ran in two events today, the 1600 Meter Run and the 4×400 Relay.
In the 1600 Meter Run there were 80 entries in the race. Jonny was put in the fastest heat and finsihed 9th overall with a time of 4:32.03. Unfortunately, that meant he didn’t finish in the top 8 and earn his team any points.

His next race was the 4×400 relay. Again the team finished 9th out of 24 teams entered in the race. The team time was 3:33.34. Jonny ran the last leg in 51.5 which is a new person best for him. From what I hear, he looked absolutely awesome in the first 300 meters and kind of sputtered the last 100. He has still been recovering from being sick for the last couple of weeks as well.
